Gulpha Gorge and Desoto Lake

The only other area of the park to feature a main road and developed areas is Gulpha Gorge. Here you can find camping and picnic facilities as well as a handful of trails. A calming stream passes through the small gorge and passes under a pretty stone arch bridge. Continuing up the Gorge Road will place you at Desoto Lake, which was created by the Stonebridge Dam. The lake is wooded and cooling in the hotter months and a beautiful attraction in autumn.
